25 to Life Fitness is now mobile! From one paradise to another we now run Boxfit classes in Pauanui! Wednesday morning 6.30am Thursday afternoon 5.30pm $10pp Gloves provided, however your own are encouraged. A great outdoor fitness class where you can really get your heart rate up if you push hard, or ease yourself back into fitness after some time off. At this stage Boxfit runs during the Summer months only - watch this space for a possible Winter option!

What a year it's been for our Bootcampers! More and more of you want to get fit with us and we LOVE the atmosphere that's being created! Our Bootcamp is designed for all fitness levels, afterall, you have to start somewhere and there's only one way to get fit, right!? You go at your own pace until you're ready to ramp it up, you get out what you put in but we're big on safety and slow and steady will always win the race. Another year is almost done, but we don't stop. 2019 Bootcamp session plans are already in the works. A huge thank you to everyone who has joined us this year! Bring on 2019!

Our Boot Camp classes are based outside when weather allows - leading up to Summer this makes for some EPIC #sunrisesessions!. We don't take a Winter break! We bring it indoors here at Body Work Gym! ~ Summer bodies are made in Winter!
Boot Camp offers a team environment and a different style of training to what you would normally do in the gym, we have equipment to keep things interesting, outdoor classes are based at the Tukere Drive stairs, Island View Road playground, on the beach and at reserves. This year I'm excited to announce that all Boot Camps will end on a "Mystery Workout" - this could be anything from a paddle over to Donut Island, to a hike up to the Pinnacles Summit. We live in such a beautiful place - be a shame not to make the most of it! Where ever we go, expect to do burpees... Cost: $99 for Body Work Gym members
$159 for non Body Work Gym members (includes a 6 week gym membership for the duration of Boot Camp)

During the Christmas & New Year period we take a break from our regular class timetable - our instructors work hard all year, nice for them to have a well deserved break! However, with an influx of out of towners and locals that stick around we provided Pop Up classes so you can get your group fitness fix! Pop Up classes are advertised on the Body Work Gym and Whangamata Notice Board facebook pages and are held at 9am and 10am Monday - Friday; be sure to 'like' both pages to keep up to date with the latest and greatest!

Boot Camp by 25 to Life Fitness and BodyWork Gym has kicked off with a bang! Seeing the sun come up is definitely a good pay off for getting out of bed so early - how lucky are we to live here! Our Boot Camp sessions are Tuesday and Thursday mornings 6am - 7am, and Saturday mornings 6.30am - 7.30am. They're based around strength, cardio and agility - functional training for functional bods!
Those who wish to join us on a casual basis are more than welcome and classes are suited to all fitness levels! ~ you are fitter than you think ;-) $10 per class! Why Boot Camp you ask? The combination of a team atmosphere, intense full-body cardiovascular and strength workouts and fitness education make Boot Camp weight loss programs very effective at reducing excess body weight, improving cardiovascular endurance, increasing lean muscle mass and improving overall coordination and balance. Aside from partaking in effective and fun exercises you'll also join a social network of like minded men and women all working towards similar goals. You will receive body measurements and fitness testing pre and post Boot Camp so you can see the progress you've made over the 6 weeks! We also offer a personalized 6 week training programme for you to really ramp up your 6 week training plan which you can do over and above Boot Camp sessions, as well as a nutritional guideline to compliment your exercise plan. Hi team!
As you may know, boxing has a ton of benefits - not only does it help with strength and fitness but it improves co-ordination. For example working the left side of the body engages the right side of the brain and visa versa.
Each month we are lucky enough to work with a group of amazing people who live with Parkinson's. We use foot work and gentle punching techniques to help with co-ordination and control and work on gentle arm and leg strengthening exercises.
Each visit I am blown away with the progress each of these ladies and gents continue to make. Many studies have shown how beneficial boxing can be for people who experience problems with balance and co-ordination but it's super exciting to see it first hand.
If you or anyone you know is interested in joining in please don't hesitate to get in touch with us, we meet here at the gym on the first and third Friday's of every month and the class is open to anyone who feels this may be beneficial. We offer this as a free service and ask that participants pop a gold coin into the Coastguard donation box at reception.

The gym that trains outside together! We had a bad run with weather in April but when the storms passed we got amongst the beautiful Autumn sunshine and took the crew up to the Pauanui Summit. If you haven't been, it's a must do! It can take anywhere from 25 - 50 minutes to reach the Summit, the track resembles a goat track in parts but trust me, the view, totally worth it. Don't get me wrong, we love weights and classes, but nothing beats the outdoors and we enjoying banding the team together and moving outdoors when we can. We're a social bunch for sure! Well done to everyone who made it along to the day!
